Overview: This is a small overview of the Ghost Town boulders. Several other bouldering areas exist in Blacklick Gamelands near Blacklick and along Blacklick Creek. The Trailside boulders are located right off the Ghost Town Rails to Trails. The main area is located off of Mt Tabor Road. Park at the pull off at the bend. The rock is gritstone. Some of the rock is decent quality; some of the rock is unclean. Overall some halfway decent rock if you live close. Not a major destination area.

Note: If the parking lot on Mt. Tabor road is full, do not climb here, go to the other nearby spots. Do not park on the roadside or go near the private cabin at the top of the hill. Do not bring large groups to the Mt Tabor area. Respect the land and nearby landowners.

Gritstone boulders near Johnstown PA. Many spots can be found all through this region of the state. Some potential for new routes still exists.

Rock Type: Gritstone. Dark in color. Similar to "The Knobs" and "Lost Crag" but not as nice. Ownership: Mostly public.
